Proceedings of the last Annual General Meeting

CRSI Annual General Meeting was held at Marriott Convention Centre, Hyderabad on December 13, 2010 at 18.00 hrs. The CRSI members present in the meeting discussed following, which house agreed.

 

  1. The general secretary briefed the activities of CRSI for the past year highlighting its travel support to students who got the opportunities to present research papers on Cryptology in refereed conferences in India and abroad.

 

  1. The audited account for the financial year 2009-10 was presented and got approved.

 

  1. Indocrypt 2011 will be held at Chennai during December 11-14, 2011. The host will be the Institute of Mathematical Sciences. The General Co-Chairs will be Prof. R. Balasubramaniam and Prof. R.L. Karandikar while the program Co-Chairs will be Dr.Sanjit Chatterjee and Prof. Daniel Bernstein.

 

  1. The national workshop on Cryptology will be held either at Delhi or at Vellore in or around September, 2011. The executive committee will take the decision later after getting formal proposals.

 

  1. An instructional workshop on Cryptology for the Basic Level Training primarily of expository nature, meant for college, university teachers and research scholars in mathematics, statistics, computer science, electronics etc. will be hosted by Prof. Sethu Madhavan at Amrita Viswavidyapitham, Coimbatore campus in May, 2010. It was decided that Prof. Madhavan may form a committee for deciding on the course curriculum, lectures etc. along with Sri Rajesh Pillai and Prof. Rana Barua who will act as Chairman..

 

  1. Prof. Kishan Chand Gupta will be assisting Prof. Shahi Halevi  to assign passwords to all life members of the society to enable them to get access to the papers/lectures related to IACR Publications. Commander Shashwat Raizada will act as the editor of the Half-Yearly Newsletter of the society in electronic format.

 

  1. The meeting ended with unanimous election of the new committee and vote of thanks to the Chair.
